The advent of Facebook sucks our main character "Blue" into a world he isn’t sure he likes. He feels like he must participate as all of his friends and family are on this site and he can’t be left out.
He questions the sites creator and wants to know what makes that man tick.
lyrics
(Part 1)
Born in 1984, such a perfect year
Never thought a baby could bring so much to fear
You wanted more than you could chew, and took it without class
Our brains would change by what you did, it happened all so fast
Nothing here will ever be the same
And you're the one who has to take the blame
(Part 2)
But what do you want when you have everything
And how do you sleep when you're slowly killing
Your money keeps you warm when there's no one to touch
This is all too much
The thoughts you had were stolen, did you know that they weren't yours?
You lied to all who knew you, to them you were a curse
You have our information, and what we like to eat
My wall is filled with nonsense, I guess you have us beat
I've got ten thousand friends but only three that I can place
The book of face
Pictures of friends children, was this what you had planned?
Scrolling through the darkness, when will we take our stand?
Events I'll never go to, there's nowhere I can sit
My posts are self-indulgent, my profile pic is shit
Everything is permanent, nothing can be erased
The book of face

Great progressive rock from Rick Miller. Plenty of flute, vocal harmony, and strong guitar work. While many prog rockers are very uneven across their albums, Rick's characteristic songwriting approach never lets down but delivers a solid, consistent approach. Highly recommended! Dogger Dog
