The first problem in this marriage is that "Blue's" wife notices his addiction to his new cell-phone. She sees that the smartphone is incredibly powerful and much more than just a phone.
She feels invisible when he is holding it and he unknowingly ignores her and the world around him when he is looking at it.
lyrics
There's something lacking here, on the surface of the sphere
Faded eyes are sinking deeper every day
We are always lost for words, discontentment of the herd
Empty numbness has the last and final say
Friends and family just won't do, and all that's left is only you
I need an outlet, that's there to fill the time
Filled with more than what I need, just to satisfy my greed
To keep me company and never drinks my wine
You could have said no, but you had to go alone into your bluish glow
You could have said no, but you had to go alone into your bluish glow
Your love is lost on me, I'd much rather watch TV
Or play my games at any time I wish or please
What I want is just a screen, that has no face and cannot scream
And gives me what I want without being a tease
It plays me songs it helps me shop I play some games don't have to stop
Everything and we've never had a fight
It reads me books it takes a pic it never cries its never sick
It's my friend now it's you who are my foe
Oh oh no
Ooh ooh, you're changing
Ooh ooh, you're not the same
Ooh ooh, our love's erasing
Ooh ooh, and that glow's to blame
You could have said no, but you had to go alone into your bluish glow
You could have said no, but you had to go alone into your bluish glow
You could have said no, but you had to go alone into your bluish glow
I could have said no, but I had to go alone into my bluish glow

Great progressive rock from Rick Miller. Plenty of flute, vocal harmony, and strong guitar work. While many prog rockers are very uneven across their albums, Rick's characteristic songwriting approach never lets down but delivers a solid, consistent approach. Highly recommended! Dogger Dog
